A very rare variant figure fromthe POTF2/SOTE series (c. 1996-1997). This is the super-rare carded version ofPrincess Leia in "Collection 1" packaging. In 1996. Kenner added collection numbers(Collections 1, 2 and 3) to all POTF2 figures, starting with the last run oforange/red cards in late 1996 and ending with the green cards in 1997. As most collectors know, the LeiaBoushh figure was originally released in SOTE packaging (1996) but was laterreissued in POTF2 packaging (1997). Forwhatever reason, at or around the same time this figure was reissued, Kenneralso made a VERY small number of SOTE-packaged Boushh figures with the"Collection 1" imprint. I have never heard a viable explanation as towhy this was done but in the final analysis, this card variation is EXTREMELYrare and its existence was actually doubted for a long time. The figure is 100% factorysealed and the packaging is in terrific condition. There are no price stickersor distributor labels (the latter is commonly found on this variant).
